Education

The children are referred to Luhuvilo by local priests, social welfare and the general hospital. We accept children who are most at risk and/or orphans.

Our priority is child protection: providing a safe, nurturing, caring environment at all times. The children arrive between the ages of 0 and 8, some with no education. Each child stays at their new Luhuvilo home for at least four weeks before we enrol them at the nearby Pre and Primary School. The school is considered the best in the area. We believe that a good education is essential for the children to flourish and reach their full potential.

The children attend school Monday to Friday. The little ones under five are taught at Luhuvilo by the sisters.

The charity provides books, toys and educational resources for Luhuvilo for the older children to draw, write, read and play when at their Luhuvilo home.

Each child has a UK sponsor. The £25.00 donated for each child pays for their education. If you would like to sponsor a child, please message us via the contact form found on the HOME page.
