The Child Protection Policy

Our priority is Child Protection & Safeguarding: for a home to be beautiful, the children have to be safe and feel safe.

We are aware of the history of child abuse in children’s homes and have put into place strict guidelines and protocols to ensure that every step possible will be taken to protect our children and help them heal from the traumas of their past.

To this end, we have trained two sisters, Sr Vumilla and Sr Merina, in childcare at the convent where the home is built. These sisters have a little family of children to care for, supported by novice nuns and local women. We have a woman-only policy for the care of all children.
